How we do business — and what we expect from everyone who does business with us.
Last updated: September 2026
This Code applies to HUSSSH — Hush Scandinavia AB ("the Company") — and to everyone who works for or on behalf of us: employees, board members, consultants and agents. We expect our suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and licensing partners to meet equivalent standards. Our values — focus, transparency, respect and integrity — underpin everything we do.
The Code builds on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises and the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct, and on the Swedish and EU laws described below. Where local law sets a higher standard, the higher standard applies.
We comply with all laws and regulations that apply to our business in every market where we operate, and we expect the same of our partners. Where this Code and the law differ, we follow whichever is stricter.
Our product claims must be truthful, evidence-based, fair and not misleading, in line with Commission Regulation (EU) No 655/2013 on cosmetic claims, the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive 2005/29/EC, the Misleading and Comparative Advertising Directive 2006/114/EC and the Swedish Marketing Act (Marknadsföringslagen, SFS 2008:486). We do not present cosmetics as medicines.
We have zero tolerance for bribery and corruption in any form, including facilitation payments. Gifts, hospitality and entertainment must be modest, transparent and never intended to influence a business decision, in line with the Swedish Anti-Corruption Institute's Code on Gifts, Rewards and other Benefits in Business (Näringslivskoden). See our Anti-Corruption Policy.
We compete fairly and on the merits. We do not agree with competitors on prices, markets, customers or bids, and we do not abuse any market position, in accordance with Articles 101 and 102 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union and the Swedish Competition Act (Konkurrenslagen, SFS 2008:579). Distribution and licensing agreements are structured to comply with EU competition rules on vertical agreements.
We respect internationally recognised human rights. We do not accept forced, bonded or child labour, human trafficking, discrimination or harassment. We respect freedom of association and collective bargaining, fair wages, reasonable working hours and safe, healthy workplaces. See our Human Rights & Modern Slavery Policy.
Everyone should be able to work without harm to their health. We integrate occupational health and safety into our operations in line with the Swedish Work Environment Act (Arbetsmiljölagen, SFS 1977:1160) and expect our partners to do the same.
We work to limit waste and our environmental impact, meet producer-responsibility requirements for packaging, and avoid unsubstantiated environmental claims. See our Sustainability Policy.
We protect personal data in accordance with the GDPR and our Privacy Policy. We protect confidential information and trade secrets — our own and our partners' — in line with the Swedish Trade Secrets Act (Lag om företagshemligheter, SFS 2018:558), and share them only under appropriate confidentiality agreements.
Decisions are made in the Company's interest, not for personal gain. Anyone with a personal, financial or family interest that could influence a business decision must disclose it and step aside from that decision.
We comply with EU restrictive measures (sanctions) and applicable customs and export-control rules, and we screen business partners where relevant.
Our books and records accurately reflect all transactions, in accordance with the Swedish Bookkeeping Act (Bokföringslagen, SFS 1999:1078) and applicable accounting standards.
We select suppliers and partners who share these standards. Our manufacturing partners are expected to participate in recognised social-compliance programmes such as amfori BSCI, to allow audits, and to remediate any findings. Serious or repeated breaches may lead to the termination of the business relationship.
Anyone — employees, partners, suppliers or others — can report suspected breaches of this Code or of the law, confidentially and without fear of retaliation, to hush@hushscandinavia.se. We protect people who report in good faith, in line with the Swedish Whistleblower Act (Lag om skydd för personer som rapporterar om missförhållanden, SFS 2021:890), which implements the EU Whistleblowing Directive (EU) 2019/1937. Reports can also be made to the competent Swedish authorities.
This Code is approved by management and reviewed at least annually.
